Given :   Vinit bought a new wall clock on Monday and set the correct time as 10 am on it and fixed it on a wall

The same clock loses 15 minutes in 24 hours

To Find :  What will be the true time if the clock indicates 4a.m

on the following Sunday?

6:00 a.m.

5:02 am

4:44 a.m

5:12 a.m.

6:43 a.m.

Solution:

clock loses 15 minutes in 24 hours

=> Clock shows  23 .75 hrs  in actual 24 hrs

10 AM Monday to 4a.m on the following Sunday

=> 24 * 6 -  6  =  138 hrs

Clock shows 138 hrs

Clock shows  23 .75 hrs  in actual 24 hrs

=> Clock shows  23 .75 hrs  in actual 24/23.75 hrs

=> Clock shows  138  in actual 138 *  24/23.75 hrs

= 139.45 hrs

Hence 1 . 45 hrs  = 1 hr  + 27 mins

Hence  5 : 27  will be time
