Vinita sold a table and a chair for rs.1059,thereby making a profit of 10% on the table and 25% on the chair if she had a profit of 25% on the table and 10%on the chair she would have got rs. 1065 . Find the cost of each.

T(1+10/100) + C(1+25/100)  = 1059

110 T  + 125 C  = 1059 * 100     Eq1

T(1+25/100)  + C (1+10/100) = 1065

125 T + 110 C = 1065 * 100      Eq2

Adding both Eq 1 + Eq2

235T + 235 C =  (1059 + 1065) * 100

T + C =  903.83

now subtracting , Eq2 - Eq1

15T - 15C = 6 * 100

T - C = 40

Adding both 2T = 943.83

T = 471.92

C = 431.92
