consider the genotype of violet plant as VV as it is mentioned dominant and white plant as vv as it is recessive . selfing of pure lines (homozygous ) gives the F1 generation

Explanation:

a) selfing of VV with vv results in Vv (heterozygous)which gives u all violet plants.so colour of F1 progeny plants is violet.

b) now when the F1 plants are crossed VV crossed with Vv it results in 3 violet plants and 1 white plant in F2 generation, so the ratio is 3:1

c ) white coloured pea plant is not found in F1 generation.
