Given: cost of one air conditioner=Rs. 30000.

Amount paid by Ramesh=Rs. 0.72

Profit Virat would have earned=10%

To find: Amount of money lost by Virat.

Solution:

Find total cost of 10 airconditioners.

\[\begin{array}{l} = 10 \times 30000\\ = Rs.300000\end{array}\]

Find the profit that could be earned by Virat.

Profit,

\[\begin{array}{l} = \frac{{110}}{{100}} \times 300000\\ = 330000\end{array}\]

Find the amount lost by Virat.

330000-0.72=Rs.329999.28

Hence, Virat lost Rs. 329999.28
