On the 13th of July, 2020, MAHSS regular students in the 11th grade had the opportunity to meet Miss Shikha Pandey, one of India's women's cricket superstars.
Miss Shikha has been a member of the Indian Women's Cricket team for about six years and is an exceptional bowling all-rounder.
She was born in Karimnagar (now Telangana), but moved to Goa when she was eight years old and has been a proud ‘Goenkar' ever since.
She attended a KV college in Goa and was previously taught by Sir Vyankatesh Prabhudessai, our very own director.
Miss Shikha has loved cricket since she was a child.
She aspired to represent her country in her favourite sport.

Miss Shikha was picked for India's visit of Bangladesh in 2014 after excelling at the Inter-State level.
She was also a member of India's squad for the ICC Women's World Cup Twenty-Twenty in the same year.
She is the first Indian player from Goa to play for an Indian national cricket team, following Dilip Sardessai.
She also holds the distinction of being the first Goa Cricket Association affiliated cricketer to represent India at an international level.
