The virus envelope is known as the caspid which is nothing but a protein coat surrounding the genetic materials, DNA or RNA, which are the consisting particle of a virus.

The upper of the protein coat or the outer layer is known as the envelope. The viruses are of different shapes varying from hellical to icosahedral.

These viruses are so small that is difficult to identify them even under a normal microscope.
