virus infects the OS but does not stay in RAM

Unlike a virus, it does not need to attach itself to an existing program. Worms spread by exploiting vulnerabilities in operating systems ... time the virus from the boot record loads in memory and then start infecting other ... They either redirect the disk head to read another sector instead of the one in which they reside .
