Answer:

Virus is very small microorganisms, which grow only on living cell, outside the living cell, they are inactive as non-living. So it is considered as connecting link. Viruses are microorganisms that lack a active metabolism system. So they have to use the system of other organisms in order to lead their life.

virus is both living and non-living. individually it is non-living as it does not have a definite cellular composition also it do not show any life process. but when it comes in contact with any cell or organism it becomes living as it eats the host cell and uses its cellular structure to form new individual and starts showing life processes.

viruses are non-living things outside the body of any organism but reproduce once it enter in a host. Viruses are non-living when they are outside the host cell as they don't have any cellular machinery of their own. That's why they are considered as link between living and non-living.

Answer:

Viruses are microorganisms that lack a active metabolism system.

So they have to use the system of other organisms in order to lead their life.

Since they lack the metabolism system, they are dead or non living outside the living body.

But once they enter a living body containing the metabolism system they act as living.

Hence they are considered as a connecting link between living and non living
