Viruses are dead outside the host i.e. living organism whereas it is alive inside the host, that's why it is called the connecting link between living and non living things

Answer:

viruses are often called a biologists puzzle because the show no signs of living outside

they show signs of life when they get a host

they are non living but show live when connected to a body

that reproduce, regenerate themselves when connected to a living body

that's why they are called as biologists puzzle
