Answer:

the answer is 30 years

Step-by-step explanation:

let Vishnu's present age be 10x and sivai's present age be 17x

Vishnu's age 4 years ago= 10x-4

Sivai's age 4 years ago= 17x-4

therefore, (10x-4)/(17x-4)=8/15

15(10x-4)=8(17x-4)

150x-60=136x-32

150x-136x=-32+60

14x=28

x=2

Vishnu's present age=10x=10*2=20

therefore, Vishnu's age after 10 years=20+10=30 years

Given :

  • Vishnu's and Sivai's ages are in the ratio 10:17.
  • Before 4 years , the ratio of their ages were 8:15.

To Find :

  • Vishnu's age after 10 years.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:the\:age\:of\:Vishnu\:be=10x}

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:the\:age\:of\:Sivai\:be=17x}

4 yeara ago :

\longmapsto\tt{Vishnu's\:age=10x-4}

\longmapsto\tt{Sivai's\:age=17x-4}

A.T.Q :

\longmapsto\tt{\dfrac{10x-4}{17x-4}=\dfrac{8}{15}}

\longmapsto\tt{15(10x-4)=8(17x-4)}

\longmapsto\tt{150x-60=136x-32}

\longmapsto\tt{150x-136x=-32+60}

\longmapsto\tt{14x=28}

\longmapsto\tt{x=\cancel\dfrac{28}{14}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{x=2}

Value of x is 2...

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt{Present\:age\:of\:Vishnu=10(2)}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{20\:yrs.}

After 10 years :

\longmapsto\tt{Age\:of\:Vishnu=20+10}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{30\:yrs.}

Therefore, After 10 years Vishnu's age will be 30 years..
