We went into countless clothes shops and we didn't get anybody's welcome once. The entrance to the shop is no different from a guest who enters your house. No signage in terms of clothing types or clothing size or clothing color. I noticed people had to switch clothes around and make a real effort to find information about the size and price. It just looked like someone in a cattle pen. I saw customers at the payment counter waiting to be served. We need to create and sell interactions: experiences that stimulate the physical senses and bring a smile on their faces to customers and have something to chat and connect with friends and their "wider social network".
