In the last week I visited 5 families in my neighbourhood to find out the kind of dresses they are comfortable wearing for most of the day.
The common result received from the search is the male members are mostly comfortable in trousers and formal shirts for their offices and the ladies in the house wear salwar kameez and sari to work. For the house wives, sari is the best choice and at night they said they feel comfortable in long one-piece maxi dresses. The kids are in school uniform for the major part of the day and at home they prefer casual clothes like girls in tops and skirts and boys in T-shirts and short pants. The male members after returning home wear long Kurtas with Pyjamas. The reason for such choices lies solely at the comfort level. Everyone said they wear those dresses which makes them feel light and comfortable. The advantages of wearing the dresses are they are quite cheap, mostly made of cotton. The clothes are durable and long-lasting. The clothes do not require any maintenance cost as they are washable at home.
Thus they don’t have to spend a lot of money on their attires.
