1.Draw a number line and mark at least o to 10 numbers on the number line.

2. First expand the range between 2 and 3 into 10 equal parts we can do it as increasing in 1 st decimal point i.e 2.1 , 2 .2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5,2.6, 2.7,2.8, 2.9.

3. Second expand the range between 2 .4 and 2.5 into 10 equal pasts we can do it as increasing in 2nd decimal point i.e 2.41,2.42, 2.43, 2.44, 2.45,2.46, 2.47, 2.48, 2.49.

4. third expand the range between 2.46 and 2.47 into 10 equal parts we can do it as increasing in 3rd decimal pointi i.e 2.461,2.462,2.463, 2.464,2.465, 2.466,2.467, 2.468 , 2469.

5. Fourth expand the further range between 2.464 and 2.465 into 10 equal parts we can do it as increasing in 4th decimal point ie 2.4641,2.4642, 2.4643, 2.4644,2.4645, ( 2.4646), 2.4647, 2.4648, 2.4649

Now we got our required number that is 2.4646.
