SOLUTION :

Let Ivan's salary be x

$\frac{x}{4} +\frac{x}{3} +\frac{x}{15}+6000$ is what he spent

He had balance of Rs 4000

$x - (\frac{x}{4} +\frac{x}{3} + \frac{x}{15}+6000)=4000$

Multiply the equation by LCM 60

$\frac{60x -15x-20x -4x-360000}{60}=4000$

$60x -15x-20x -4x-360000=4000\times 60$

60x-15x-20x-4x-360000=240000

60x-39x=240000+360000

21x=600000

$x=\frac{600000}{21}$

∴ x= 28571.43

∴ Ivan's monthly salary is Rs 28571.43
