That totally depends on certificates in which field and companies are of what profile coming for interview like if I have NISM certification and companies coming for research profile or equity, portfolio management then surely I will have a weightage in the interview over others.

So, its all about certificates related to your future streams and fields will surely help you.

In the companies final placements they check basically three things-

Technical knowledge i.e. learning fro your subjects, specializations etc.

Attitude matters a lot i.e. demonstrating potential, keen to new learning matters a lot for cracking HR Round, I must say.

Basic knowledge about market and understanding about economy is most important and ability to co-relate everything is what matters.
