Given :  Vivek wanted to renovate his bare lawn of dimensions 15 length and 27m wide. He bought a certain number of green grass strips, each with area 0.4444m2 and used them to partially cover the floor of the lawn .

The area of this covered portion was an integer

To Find : What is the ratio of the covered area to the non-covered portion of the lawn.If the max. possible area was covered with strips

Solution:

Each grass strip Area = 0.4444 m²

= 4444/10000

= 1111/2500

= 11 * 101  / ( 2 * 2 * 5 * 5 * 5 * 5 )

no Common Factors

Hence

minimum possible integer area  = 1111  m²

Lawn Dimensions = 15 * 27  = 405  m²

Hence its not possible to cover part of lawn with integer area

Hence there is mistake in Data
