Vocal cords are situated at the (b) Larynx

  • The vocal folds are situated at the top of trachea, inside the larynx.
  • The vocal cords are then attached to the arytenoid cartilages, and also to the thyroid cartilage anteriorly.
  • In the neck a tube-shaped organ containing the vocal cords. The larynx is about 5 cm long (2 in.) It is part of the breathing system and is situated between the pharynx and the trachea.
