1. A volcano is a mountain with a hole where lava ( hot , liquid rock ) comes from a magma chamber under the ground.
2. Most volcanoes have a volcanic crater at the top.
3. When a volcano is active , materials come out of it.
4. The materials include lava ,steam , gaseous sulphur comps. , ash and broken rock pieces.
5. Volcanoes are also found on other planets rather than earth like Mars.
6. The scientists who study about volcanoes are called volcanologists .
7. Volcanoes are classified into 3 types -
i. Active Volcanoes
ii. Dormant Volcanoes
iii. Extinct Volcanoes.
