Explanation:

( A ) in this figure 3 ohm and 6 ohm are connected in parallel, so equvalent resisstence is ( 6×3 ) /( 6+3 ) = 2 ohm

This 2 ohm resistor are also connected with 9 ohm resister in series .

So, effective resistence is 2 + 9 = 11 ohm

Hence total resistance of the circuit is 11 ohm

( B ) From Ohm's law V = IR

12 = I × 11

I = 12/11 = 1.09 amp.

Hence total current is 1.09 amp.

( C ) current through 3 ohm resister is

so first current across equvalent 3 ohm and 6 ohm resister is 1.09 amp

so, voltage = 1.09 × 2 = 2.18 volt

But 3 ohm and 6 ohm are connected in parallel so potential difference is constant ( i.e 2.18v )

So current across 3 ohm resister is

I = V/R

I = 2.18/3

I = 0.726 amp.

So, current through 3 ohm resistor is 0.726 amp.
