TRICK

Since it is a series connection, current  through v1 and  v2 are same

From the given data ,

                 I =80 / 20 k = 4 mA

For the second volt meter the reading is

                 V2 = 4 m x 10 k = 40 V

There fore the net voltage  = 80 +40 = 120 V
