Given:-

  • Volume = 1L
  • Pressure = 138 atm
  • Temoerature = 127 °C

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Need to find:-

  • Number of moles in gas = ?

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Solution:-

Volume:

= 1L

=  {10}^{ - 3}  {m}^{3}

Pressure:

= 138atm

 = 138 \times  {10}^{5}  pascal

Temperature:-

= 127°C

= 127 + 273 K

= 400K

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

We know, From IDEAL GAS EQUATION:-

PV = nRT

We know n = Number of moles ÷ NA

(NA= Avogardo's Number)

 \implies PV=  \dfrac{N}{N_A} RT

\implies PV = NKT

 as( \dfrac{R}{N_A}=K)

\implies N=\dfrac{PV}{KT}

Substitute the values:

Number of Molecules = N :

=  \dfrac{138 \times  {10}^{5} \times   {10}^{ - 3} }{138 \times  {10}^{2}  \times  {10}^{ - 23} \times 400 }

=  \dfrac{ {10}^{2}  \times  {10}^{5}  \times  {10}^{ - 3} \times  {10}^{23}  }{400}

=  \dfrac{ {10}^{7} \times  {10}^{20}  }{400}
