Hi ,
Let the side of a cube = a
volume of a cube = a³
= x³ - 6x² + 12x - 8
= x³ - 3 × x² × 2 + 3 × x × 2² - 2³
a³ = ( x - 2 )³
a = x - 2
Lateral surface area = 4a²
= 4 ( x - 2 )² sq units
I hope this helps you.
