\bf\large{\underline{Question:-}}

volume of a cuboid is 12 cm^3 find the volume of a cuboid whose sides are double of the cuboid.

\bf\large{\underline{Given:-}}

  • Volume \tt 12cm^3

\bf\large{\underline{To\:find:-}}

  • Find the new volume of cuboid when we double the sides=?

\bf\large{\underline{Solution:-}}

Let,

  • Length = l
  • breadth = b
  • height = h

Volume = l×b×h=12 (Given)

\bf\large{\underline{According\:to\:Question:-}}

When we double the sides then,

  • Length = 2l
  • breadth = 2b
  • height = 2h

Now,

New Volume of cuboid = 2l×2b×2h

\tt→ 8(lbh)\\\tt→ 8(12)\\\tt→ 96cm^3

Hence,

volume of cuboid = \tt→ 96cm^3

Given :

  • Volume of cuboid = 12 cm³.

To find :

  • The volume of a cuboid whose sides are double of the cuboid =?

Step-by-step explanation :

It is Given that,

Volume of cuboid = 12 cm³.

Let, Length of the cuboid be, l

Then, the breadth of the cuboid be, b

And, the height of cuboid be, h

As We know that,

The volume of cuboid = Length x Breadth x Height = lbh

According to the question :

Volume =  Length x Breadth x Height  = lbh = 12

As per question when double the sides,

= 2l x 2b x 2h

= 8lbh [ ∵ lbh = 12]

= 8 x 12

= 96.

Therefore, the volume of ne cuboid = 96 cm³
