Volume=200 cm³

density of metal= 7.5 gcm⁻³

we know that;

mass= density × volume

=200×7.5

=1500 g

into kilograms:

= 1500/1000

= 1.5 kgs

Volume is the three-dimensional space enclosed by the closed surface. Density is mass per unit volume. The relation between density and volume is directly proportional. That is any change in volume will result in a change in its density and vise-versa.

Density to Volume \rho =\frac{M}{V}

Volume to Density V=\frac{M}{\rho}

Where,

  • ρ is the density.
  • M is the mass.
  • V is volume.

Density and Volume are inversely proportional to each other. Mass and volume are not the same. Thus, from the above formula, we can say that, For a fixed mass,

  • When density increases, volume decreases.
  • When volume increases, density decreases.

Volume=200 cm^3

density of metal= 7.5 gcm{-3}

we know that;

mass= density × volume

=200\times 7.5

=1500 g

Into kilograms:

= 1500/1000

= 1.5 kgs
