Given :-

  • Height of cylinder = 3 cm.
  • Base area of cylinder = 8 cm².

To Find :-

  • Volume of cylinder = ?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Base area of cylinder = π * (radius)² .
  • Volume of cylinder = π (radius)² * h => Base Area * Height .

therefore,

→ volume of cylinder = Base Area * Height = 8 * 3 = 24 cm³. (Ans.)

SOLUTION

GIVEN

  • The height of cylinder 3cm

  • The base area 8sq cm

TO DETERMINE

Let radius of base = r cm

Height = h = 3 cm

Then

Base area =

 \sf{ = \pi {r}^{2} \:  \:  \: sq.cm }

So by the given condition

 \sf{\pi {r}^{2}  = 8}

Now volume of the cylinder

 =  \sf{\pi {r}^{2} h \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }

 =  \sf{\pi {r}^{2}  \times h \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }

 =  \sf{8 \times 3 \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }

 =  \sf{24 \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }

FINAL ANSWER

Hence the required volume of the cylinder

 =  \sf{24 \:  \:  \:  {cm}^{3} }
