From formula of volume of different shaped

  1. Volume of cuboid \mathbf{= lenght\times Breadth\times Height}

      Area of base \mathbf{= lenght\times Breadth}

      Then volume of cuboid can be written as

      Volume of cuboid \mathbf{= Base Area\times Height}      ...1)

  2. See other example

      Volume of cube \mathbf{= Side\times Side\times Side}

      Base area of cube= area of square \mathbf{= Side\times Side}

      Then volume of cube can be written as

      Volume of cube \mathbf{= Base Area\times Side}

      In above equation, side is actually height of cube

      So

       Volume of cube \mathbf{= Base Area\times Height}      ...2)

 3.   Now come to question

       Volume of water in field \mathbf{= lenght\times Breadth\times Height of water}

       Where

       Area of field \mathbf{= lenght\times Breadth}

       So

       Volume of water in field \mathbf{= Area of Field\times Height of Water}
