the major difference between fungi and algae is that the cell wall of fungi is made up of chitin it is a polysaccharide that is present only in fungi and another reason is that not exceptionally all funds are heterotrophs they cannot prepare their own food but all Algae are autotrophs

Volvox is a multicellular organism with algal cells filled in it. It is an example of alga which means that it is photosynthetic in nature, due to the presence of chlorophyll.

Not all algae have green colour due to the presence of chlorophyll but the colours of some algae also get masked by other colour pigments present in them.

Mushroom is a fungus because it grows on dead and decaying matter. The fungus doesn't have chlorophyll in them and thus they are not green in colour.
