Each year in India we celebrate teacher's day on 5th September, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Schools, colleges arrange various events and functions to pay tribute all teachers and pay homage to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan the first vice president and second president of India.

Good morning to one and all present here. I feel immensely grateful to be standing here and to say some words for our extraordinary teachers and to extend my gratitude for working so hard for us. It is said that teachers are like the lighthouses that guide the students like the ships to the shores of life. Without them life would be very complex because for every question, every confusion, any self doubts we have, our teachers are always there to have our back. I would like to site the example of Miss Sullivan, the woman behind the success of Helen Keller. When Helen was diagnosed by the doctors that she could not speak, see and listen like other people, it was her teacher Miss Sullivan who saved her from getting into the grips of darkness and helped her gained confidence and today everyone knows the story behind her success. So, express your gratitude for your teachers this teachers day because if there is any magician in the world, it is our teachers.
