Length of the platform which is needed to cross = 130m

Speed given of the train = 50km/hr

So, if we want train to cross the whole platform , then it should complete the distance of platform plus it's own length,

i.e. Total length to be covered = 245 m +130 m = 375m = 0.37KM

So now,

Speed given to you ,

Distance to be covered given above ,

Then using formula ,

time \:  =  \frac{distance}{speed}

=> speed \:  =  \frac{distance}{time}

=>Time = .37km/(50km/hr)

=>Time = .005 hr

=> Time = .005 × 3600sec = 18sec

So, Total time taken by a 120m train to cross the platform of 245 m is 18sec.
