In the given figure , If I (AB) = 20
cm, 1 (BC) = 15 cm and I (PQ) = 15
cm and I (QR) = 10 cm in the
rectangle PQRS, what is the area

PQRS is a given rectangle Sides of rectangle PS=5cm and PQ=12cm(Given)   

Since opposite sides of rectangle are equal 

⇒PQ=SR=12cm 

⇒PS=QR=5cm

In rectangle all the angles are right angles 

Hence length of diagonal =l2+b2  

Now in △PQR

using Pythagoras theorem, we have

PR2=PQ2+QR2

⇒PR=122+52 

⇒PR=144+25  

⇒PR=169=13 

Hence length of diagonal PR=13cm 

Similarly length of diagonal QS=13cm
