*  The land is generally flattish as is evident from the variation in local relief that is only form 4 m to 6 m .
*  The Ganga , Yamuna doad is the largest doab .
*  Most of the part of northern plain is traversed by rivers . 
* The most important characteristics is that watertable in this region is very high and the quality of water is also very good .
*  The plain has its own diversity .
