HEY Bhavesh...

A homologous series is a series of compounds which has  same general formula, but differ in a particular parameter like LENGTH OF CARBON CHAIN.

For example:-

Methane(CH4), Ethane(C2H6), Propane(C3H8), and so on......

the major differenceu can see that all the compounds are differ from a -CH2- group.
