Answer :

In the given sentence 'Wait a minute.' the question tags 'Can you ?,' 'Will You ?,' and 'Would You ?'  can be used to turn the given statement into a question.

Question Tags refer to short questions that are put at the end of sentences. Question tags are mostly used in spoken English.

For example, in the sentence "You're Mr. Sharma. Aren't you ?', The question tag 'aren't you ?' turns the sentence into a question.

"Wait a minute, won’t you?

Question tags usually are made up of a verb and the subject. Thus, the easiest way to frame the correct question tag is to first identify the correct verb and subject. This can be done by first framing the given sentence as a yes or no question. In this case, the question would be ‘Will you wait a minute?’ The verb is will and the subject is you.

Next, identify whether the given sentence is positive or negative. Negative sentences have indicators such as not, never, no in them. The question tag is of the opposite form, that is, if the sentence is positive, then the question tag is negative and vice versa. In this case, the sentence is positive and so the question tag should be negative. The negative form of the verb will is won’t.

Finally, the question tag is always placed at the end of the sentence following the punctuation mark comma. Thus, the grammatically correct answer is ‘Wait a minute, won’t you?’."
