Explanation:

'Walk on a village road’

It was after a long time that I was visiting my village. I always felt nostalgic to go to my village.

I got down from the bus and walked my way to our ancestral house. Oh! It was such a pleasure to walk down this road. Memories flooded me.

I was transported back to the present when the shopkeeper at the corner shop greeted me cheerfully. I spoke to him and it was hard to believe that he had aged. He sold sweets and we kids always came running to his shop to pick up some sweets and drink after our evening playtime.

The place was green all over and I missed this so much, living as we did in a concrete jungle. A few meters away was the temple.

The pujari was entering the temple and seeing me, he greeted me and enquired about everyone in the family. The hawkers were selling their ware all the time shouting out to passers-by to have a look. The children were crying and asking for these goodies.

The buses were honking so loudly and the cyclists and bikers were all over the place. The milk sellers were selling their milk riding a bicycle. There was no milk in sachets and it was pure fresh cow’s milk.

This was the village I grew in and all these noises were familiar to my ears.

All through my walk home, I was greeted by so many people who had seen me grow all through these years. I was happy to visit my village.
