while walking on the traffic if we hear a sudden loud sound it triggers the sensory cortex to process the signal and then it goes to amygdala - Hypothalamus and they signal the pituitary gland to secrete adrenocorticotropic hormone which signals the adrenal gland to release cortisol and adrenaline.
