Not really. Kathmandu is very much alive while museums are very much frozen, things trapped behind glass, no touching. Kathmandu is many things but it is not frozen, it is very much alive, there are rarely barriers you can interact with many things.

There is stacks of history all around Kathmandu. You can see it in the houses, in the features, architecture, the doorways, etc. There are countless historical sites and places.

Lalitpur is a bit more like time travelling, I went on a particularly quiet day, and a truely an amazing place.

Well, if you walk in historical places like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambunath, Bhaktapur Durbar Square or to the UNESCO world heritage sites you can have a bit of feeling like you are exploring a living museum but the commercial area of Kathmandu are completely different many shops, returents, pubs and you can feel like you are in very busy place and infact most of the part of Kathmandu is really busy.

MARK AS BRAINLIEST

HOPE IT HELPED
