ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :

  • length of the wall is 4.84 m
  • breadth of the wall is 3.1 m
  • size of tiles is 22 cm by 10 cm
  • cost of 1 tile is ₹1.50

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :

  • the total cost of all tiles

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :

Area of wall = length x height

= 4.84 x 3.1

= 15.004 m²

= 15.004 x 10,000

= 150040 cm²

Area of one tile = 22 x 10

= 220 cm²

∴ Number of tiles = \sf{\frac{( Area\: of \:the\: wall )}{( area\: of \:1 \:tile)}}

= \sf{\frac{150040}{220}}

= 682 tiles

Cost of 1 tile = ₹ 1.50

∴ Cost of 682 tiles = 682 × 1.50 = ₹1023
