Yes, because the blood in arteries flow with a higher pressure, to resist that pressure they have thicker walls.

this is because the work of arteries is to pump blood to all the parts of body due to which blood is pumped with high pressure so to prevent the breaking of arteries on the other hand veins do not apply pressure in order to supply it to the entire body
