Step-by-step explanation:

Wamiq purchase 50 dozen oranges for rs 450

50 dozen = 450 rs

1 dozen = 9 rs

he has to make 18% profit,

100 = 450

118 = x

apply cross multiplication method,

x = 531 rs

Four dozen oranges could not sold because they were rotten,

46 = 414 rs

still he has to make 18% profit from 46 dozen out of 50 dozen

531 - 414 = 117 rs

this 117rs has been equally distributed among 46 dozen ,

117/46 = 2.54 rs

he has to sell 1 dozen at rupees = 9 + 2.54

= 11.54rs
