★ Listing method :- in this method , a set is denoted by listing elements , separated by commas , within braces.
example :- A is a set of all prime number less then 13 .
then we will write in listing method
A = { 2, 3 , 5 , 7, 11}
example2 :-
B = set of all natural number between 2 to 8 .
Listing method :-
B = { 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 }
★ set builder method :- in this method , instead of listing all elements of a set , we write the property or rule which gives all elements of the set by that rule .
example :-
A = set of all prime number less then 13
set builder method :-
A = {x:x is a prime number , x < 13 }
example2 :-
B = set of all natural number between 2 to 8 .
set builder method :-
B = {x:x is a natural number , 2 < x < 8 }
