No he was not . he was born to queen mahamaya in lumbini (rummendei district) of Nepal. it was ghandhara school of architecture which gave Buddha a face and a style. ghandhara school of architecture mainly focused on his muscular body, hairs, his white drapery (style of clothing), his eyes, and chiseled face and body structure. which gave gautam Buddha a image. ghandhara school of architecture was mainly practised by kushanas dynasty a sub tribe of yu chi dynasty from western part of china. and it reached its zenith under a king named kanishka.
