was it right on the part of Kezia's father to beat her and punish her for something she did a unknowingly ? what did she miss as a father (100-150)

Actually kezia's father was a simple hearted man.he didn't want to scold her but I think he scold her for her betterment. But she thought that her father was like a giant for her because he used to scold or beat her. Also he used to stress because of his official works. It's also a region for scolding her.
