Mahatma Gandhi had slept with many women but in the sense that the reason he did was because he wanted to achieve self control. According to our NCERT books he and the woman would sleep next to each other naked. In my opinion he shouldn’t have done that but who knows maybe this “practice” of his was something that gave him the self control and the resistance to help free India.
