Miss Mebbin was not devoted to Mrs. Packletide instead she was very mean and greedy. She always was in a hurry to earn each pice of money from anywhere no matter whether from a tip or blackmailing. During the tiger shooting she behaved and managed the situation very cunningly. She firstly attracted the attention towards the truth that the goat was actually shot instead of tiger who died of heart failure. Then, she started blackmailing Mrs. Packletide and at the end she was benefited as she became the owner of the week - end cottage.
