A Brief of the Chapter

Tricki was Mrs. Pumphrey's Dog who was quite healthy and had surplus fat that Mr. Herriot worried about. He continuously said Mrs. Pumphrey to do him exercise because much fat would cause him illness.

But she was so influential that she could not give up Tricki's food of muffins chocolates and cakes.

One day Tricki became ill and was sent to Mr. Herriot's place for surgery or recovery. But Mr. Herriot knew that Tricki would not need any sort of surgery but friendly nature and exercise to keep him fit.

So he called out to his Dog's gang and with them Tricki became strong and fit. Mrs. Herriot used to give fresh bulletins every time Mrs. Pumphrey rang up. She used to send 2 dozen eggs and wines and Brandy for Tricki's Recovery. So at last the chapter ends with Mrs. Pumphrey saying ," Oh Mr. Herriot ! This is the Triumph of Surgery!"
