• A truck and a bus started off at 10:30 a.m. from opposite ends of a highway. The truck travelled at a
speed of 40 km/h and the bus travelled at a speed of 54 km/h. If they passed each other at 1:00 pm,
what was the length of the highway?​

Distance travelled is given velocity×time

Time taken by truck and bus is 2.5 hrs

So,distance travelled by truck is 40×2.5=100kms

distance travelled by bus is 54×2.5=135kms

So total distance of highway is 100+135=235kms
