Was pangea one solid continent or made of small islands that fit together? If it was one solid continent was it all formed at once by molten rock coming up from the earth?

Pangea was one solid continent and not made up of small islands. It was formed due to the molten volcanic material flowing on shores and then solidifying which caused it's spreading. Pangea was formed slowly and not at once.
