In the Holocaust, it was based on the assumption that Jews were people not fit to live. They were systematically segregated, ill treated and put to death.
India’s partition was based on the assumption that Muslims of India were better off alone, with a Muslim as their leader. The hatred against people, filled by some in the mind of others, was incurable.
Both the events were tragic in their own way. You cannot put one above the other.
