Was the bank manager pleased to help the narrator open a bank account why
Answers
The bank manager was not pleased to help the narrator open a bank account because of his secretive nature.
He was shy and talking in an awkward manner which made him believe that the narrator was a super rich man.
He was shocked when he saw only 56 dollars which he wanted to deposit. He returned the narrator to another counter.
The bank manager is noticeably annoyed because the storyteller causes so much trouble about opening what is a small account.
The storyteller, presumably Stephen Leacock himself, only wants to deposit fifty-six dollars and then a further fifty dollars a month.
Leacock declares to be totally unaware about banking matters.
He should have moved out directly to one of the tellers, or else to one of the clerks.
Instead he asks to see the executive and gets.
