India had done bussiness with many other European nations before the British.. Romans , Greeks but no why would bussiness traders would try to occupy a land that never harmed them before??
They first came in disguise to do business only to see how the things are going on India…. Did all people accepted the abhramic religion or not? That was their first motive… but unlike Egypt or other middle East pagans… indians were fighting to keep their faith and land alive from the outside invaders. The British were doing trade not with the Marathas or Sikh kingdom when they came to India…they started trade only with the Mughals.
They would have kept doing the trades if the Mughals remain strong in India.. but then the Marathas were rising in the south east…. They saw them rise and thought if they don't occupy now they won't be ever able to. So they brought up the minister of Bengal Nawab Mir Jumla and occupied Bengal first then later on the rest of India.
After that they distorted the history of India… trying to glorify the abhramic religions and bring hate for Hinduism and calling their history as mythology.
They even his all the massacres and wars where millions of Hindus lost lives in fighting against the Turks and Mughals. They tried to glorify their history in a flowery way..
Even hid the Marathas from the history books… and all other kingdoms of India which were not part of Mughal empire. The British colonials intentionally joined the non Muslim regions to the Mughal regions. When partition was done many non Muslims regions were given out intentionally to the newly formed islamic country because they wanted to enjoy the bloodbath of non Muslims. They tried to state that Hindus used to kill in ancient India… but mass ongoing genocide in the non Muslim regions which was given by British to the bloodbath of non Muslims.
When they came to India they took hold of many Hindu scripts and books… and then brought Marxism to glorify the history of abhramic faiths in history of India not Hinduism. They wanted Indians to forget their roots and identity and act like the Brits who call their own ancient rulers like Arthur as myth. We will never forget they came to India not to save the Hindus but to systematically kill them
